Ground Beef Line

Atlantic Beef Products is proud to announce they are now into full production of Ground Beef. This initiative has been in the works for some time and the line is now producing “Atlantic Signature” Ground Beef. This is a significant step toward a business model that will see ABP Inc. take on a greater value adding role to provide more products and greater value to our customers.

This Ground Beef line has the capacity to produce a significant quantity of product and to potentially provide a large portion of the ground beef needs of Prince Edward Island and Atlantic Canada. The Ground Beef equipment, purchased with the help of the federal government through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), is leading edge technology which will produce exact specification ground beef of rigorous standards to meet all quality requirements.

The line has been up and running since mid June and production has been steadily increasing over this time. Initial feedback from customers has been very positive. “We are very happy to see this line up and running” says ABP Inc. Chairman Jim Casey, “we are constantly looking at ways to improve our bottom line and the ground beef line will play a major part in this process.” The addition of this production line at ABP will also permit potential for many spin off products that are derived from ground beef.
